Manitoba is raising its minimum wage to $15.30 per hour beginning this October.

The province announced the bump Wednesday. Previously, it had outlined a minimum wage of approximately $15 by October.

Current minimum wage workers make $13.50 hourly and will see an increase to $14.15 on April 1.

In October, Manitoba will be among the three highest minimum wage provinces, according to a provincial news release.

Minimum wage is determined by a legislated inflation-tied formula.
