The search for a missing Winnipeg man ended on the weekend with the discovery of his body Saturday.

The body of Bryan Balong, 31, was found in West Kildonan, Winnipeg police confirmed Sunday.

The father of two young children was seen alive Nov. 22 near his home on Leila Avenue and Salter Street.

His family organized widely publicized searches for the man after he went missing and called for better mental health services.

The man’s body was found after a day-long search Saturday, police confirmed. Police said they are awaiting the results of an autopsy. No other details were released.
