The countdown is on to the end of 2019 and that means the Winnipeg Free Press is again counting on our readers to select the top stories of the year.

Over the past 12 months, our editors have made the calls about the stories that deserved our top headlines.

But the final decision now goes to our readers.

We’ve nominated five stories in each category, but you can also nominate stories of your own choice. Feel free to include a comment explaining your reasons for the stories you’ve selected. We will make use of some readers’ comments when we unveil the winning selections as the year draws to a close.

You have until noon Wednesday, Dec. 18 to give us your nominations.

Visit wfp.to/2019stories to make your selections.
