Hey there, time traveller!

Desiree Scott has lost track of how many people have cradled her bronze medal.
“There would be hundreds (of fingerprints) on it. It’s meant for sharing,” said Winnipeg’s favourite member of Canada’s national women’s soccer team at the Winnipeg Free Press News Café this morning.
Her personal “Whirlwind Tour 2012” is winding down, just a week after a much-celebrated 1-0 win over France in the bronze medal game at the London Olympics.
That, combined with her return to a hero’s welcome just a few days ago at the Richardson International Airport, has the 25-year-old in a very thankful mood.
“I’m so lucky to be me right now. Honestly, I haven’t stopped smiling yet,” she said, with her bronze medal dangling around her neck.
Her training schedule is a little slower than usual right now but she’s using the extra time to start fundraising. In particular, she’s hoping to become a Nike-sponsored athlete.
“Nike, holler at me,” she said.
A half-hour after her interview had ended, Scott was still talking with fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
