Three people were stabbed in separate incidents within hours of each other Thursday.

Two men and one woman were taken to hospital and later upgraded to stable condition in the wake of the attacks.

One person was arrested and investigators are looking for more suspects, the Winnipeg Police Service said Friday.

Police responded to the first incident at 2:21 p.m. on the 400 block of Sherbrook Street, where a 27-year-old man was found seriously hurt on the street.

Just before 7 p.m., police responded to a call about a person being stabbed at an apartment building on the 400 block of Assiniboine Avenue, where officers found an injured 27–year-old woman.

At 11:10 p.m., police were called to a hotel on the 600 block of Main Street, where a 48-year-old man had been stabbed. Police believe a verbal argument between the man and someone he knew led to the stabbing.

Cindy Jean Anderson, 46, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.

The Winnipeg police major crimes unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
