A man found ejected from a pickup truck in a ditch at the intersection of Highway 75 and Provincial Road 210 on Wednesday night is in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The northbound pickup truck was trying to turn eastbound onto PR 210 and lost control due to excessive speed and rolled into the ditch.
St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP found the man lying unconscious on the roadway while patrolling Highway 75 just before midnight. RCMP administered CPR while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
The 26-year-old driver from Ste. Agathe was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. It isn’t known whether alcohol was a factor.
Officers from the St. Pierre-Jolys Detachment, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
