Montreal jazz sensation Nikki Yanofsky will provide the musical entertainment at this year’s Negev Gala.

Yanofsky, an established recording-industry star at the ripe old age of 20, is best known as the voice behind the I Believe theme song that was the anthem of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She began her professional singing career in 2006, when at age 12 she became the youngest-ever headliner at the Montreal International Jazz Festival.

The Negev Gala, presented by The Jewish National Fund of Canada — Manitoba/Saskatchewan Regional Branch, has honoured outstanding leaders from within the Winnipeg community since 1953. The 2014 honouree is Joseph J. Wilder, Q.C.
