A young mom and her daughter got an awful shock Thursday morning when they witnessed a man exposing himself in public.

Around 11:50 a.m., the 26-year-old mom and her daughter – who police identified as under five years old – were walking near Dalton Street and Church Avenue. They spotted a masked man exposing himself while standing between two homes.

When the mother and daughter noticed him, the suspect fled.

The victims ran home and called police. Police spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said they were obviously disturbed.

The suspect is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, with dark hair and a fair complexion. He is said to be very tall with a medium build. He was wearing a green jacket with its hood up, jeans and a black mask or bandana covering his face.

The suspect was also riding an older, thin-framed, 10-speed bike, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
