The outlook from Environment Canada is all about extremes in Winnipeg over the next couple days, a difference that is expected to see the mercury fall 23 degrees Celsius between sometime this afternoon to later in the day on Friday.

Today will feel like summer. The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud and a high all the way up to 18 C. The wind will be from the southeast 30 km/h becoming west 30 km/h early this afternoon.

Tonight, more wind and a low of 2 C.

Unfortunately, Thursday will feel like winter. Things should start off with some rain in the morning, switching to snow before noon. Look for blowing snow and reduced visibilities in the afternoon, as the wind blows from the northwest 50 km/h gusting to 70 km/h early in the afternoon. The wind is expected to switch from the north 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h early in the evening.

The temperature will fall to -5 C as the afternoon moves along.

Sunshine and cool temperatures are in the forecast for Good Friday.
