A Winnipeg woman is recovering from a sexual assault that occurred Tuesday night in St. James.
Police say the woman was walking in the 100 block of Athlone Drive around 11:20 p.m. when a man came up behind her and sexually assaulted her. The woman screamed and the attacker fled.
She wasn’t seriously injured.
Investigators have a description of the man they’re looking for: about 20 to 30 years old, with a thin, athletic build, wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, dark tuque and dark mittens.
