Juno Award-winning guitarist and singer Jason Plumb is coming by the Winnipeg Free Press News Café.

The former leader of indie band The Waltons is playing at the Prairie Barge Festival this weekend at The Forks. He’ll perform with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

But before that he’ll sit down at the News Café for an interview and to play a couple of songs at 2 p.m.

He’ll also have a selection of CDs and DVDs for sale.

The Waltons had a number of hits that received significant airplay during their 14-year run (1987-2001) including “Colder Than You” and “The Living Room.”
