It’s beginning to look a lot like an election in Winnipeg.
Beginning Saturday, campaign signs of those running for mayor, city councilor and school trustee will be permitted on public property throughout the city.
Per city bylaw, all signage must display the name and telephone number of the person responsible for placing the sign or causing it to be placed, and the date the sign was erected.
The city warns all candidates, campaign workers and supporters that a failure to comply with the bylaws could result in the removal and destruction of signs.
Winnipeg voters head to the polls Oct. 22.
All signage must be removed within seven days of the election date.
