A suspect is in custody following an assault downtown overnight.
The attack happened at about 2:50 a.m. on the 100 block of Henry Avenue.
Two people were assaulted by a man, who kicked and punched the victims in the upper and lower body. The victims, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital.
The woman, 41, received minor injuries and was released. The 46-year-old male victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition. Police say he remains in guarded condition.
A 20-year-old man is facing numerous charges.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
