Police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in a Wolseley park early Thursday morning.
Around 12:45 a.m., an unknown man approached the girl in the park and offered her illegal drugs. When she declined, the man grabbed her, forced her into a nearby vehicle and assaulted her, police said in a news release.
Investigators are looking for a suspect described as an aboriginal man in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5’8” tall with a large build and black shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a dark leather jacket, a white T-shirt and blue jeans and was driving a dark-coloured van.
Anyone with information can call investigators at 204-986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
Police are also looking for a man accused of exposing himself to a teen girl in a parking lot earlier this week.
Around 8 p.m. May 19, a man in a vehicle approached a 15-year-old girl while she was walking in a lot along the 1400 block of Portage Avenue. The man asked if the girl needed a ride, which she declined, and exposed himself.
The girl left the area without making contact with the suspect. He is described as an East Indian man in his 20s with a medium build, dark complexion, short black hair and a short beard around his jawline. He was wearing a striped, black, short-sleeved shirt. He was driving a silver or grey four-door car.
The west district crime unit is still investigating and anyone with information can call 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers.
