The Winnipeg Jets lead the Colorado Avalanche 1-0 after one period of play at Canada Life Centre.

Blake Wheeler opened the scoring on the power play at the 9:18 mark of the frame, firing a wrist shot past Alexandar Georgiev for his fifth of the season. Josh Morrissey and Pierre-Luc Dubois each recorded an assist on the goal.

Shots are 9-4 in favour of Colorado.
