Following public complaints, the city has decided to plow residential streets after all.
A residential parking ban will start at 7 a.m. Thursday and end at 7 p.m. Saturday to improve access for plows.
To find out when their streets will be plowed, Winnipeggers are asked to double-check their address’s snow zone letter on the city’s website, through the Know Your Zone app, or by contacting 311.

A residential parking ban will start at 7 a.m. Thursday and end at 7 p.m. Saturday to improve access for plows.
The plowing operation was declared about a day after the city’s streets maintenance manager said he expected to wait until about five to 10 more centimetres of snow fell before clearing residential roads.
Vehicles parked in violation of the residential parking ban might receive a $200 ticket or be towed.
