No power in Portage: More than 10,000 Manitoba Hydro customers remain without power this morning after last week’s storm, including more than 2,000 in the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie. Kevin Rollason filed a report Tuesday.

Most of the snow from last week’s storm will melt this weekend, but Environment Canada said an extreme weather event approaching on Election Day might bring more snow or rain. Closed after crash: Northbound Main Street is expected to remain closed at Higgins Avenue into the morning commute after a serious crash. The incident happened sometime around midnight. Meanwhile, southbound Garry Street will be closed between York Avenue and Broadway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road work.
