Hey there, time traveller!

More than 8,000 Winnipeg properties are without power Wednesday afternoon due to a thunderstorm.
Manitoba Hydro spokesman Bruce Owen said the city experienced at least 77 outages, with the largest ones occurring in the River Heights and Tyndall Park areas. In River Heights, roughly 5,000 homes and businesses lost power, while in Tyndall Park, about 2,000 did.
Hydro crews are trying to pinpoint exact causes for the outages, but they may have been caused by high winds, lightning strikes to poles or downed power lines, Owen said.
People should call 911 if they encounter any situations that would constitute a public safety hazard, he added
There is no estimate of when power is to be restored across the city given the number of outages and the ongoing storm, he said.
