A 14-year-old is in custody and a 17-year-old in hospital after a stabbing Saturday.

Winnipeg police were called to an apartment in the 100 block of Cathedral Avenue in the North End about 5 p.m. At the suite, they found the 17-year old with stab wounds to his upper body. He was sent to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable.

Police said the investigation showed the two males had been socializing in the older teen’s apartment when a quarrel broke out. It ended in the stabbing. Police charged the younger teen with aggravated assault.
