A drug raid in Winnipeg’s Elmwood neighbourhood uncovered a gun reported stolen in Calgary.
Police seized the .357 Magnum loaded with six live rounds, along with quantities of cocaine and crack and about $700 in cash, during the raid at a residence on the 300 block of Poplar Avenue Wednesday.
The raid was jointly carried out by several units, including the organized crime unit of the Winnipeg Police Service.
One of the suspects now facing charges lived at the location, police told reporters Thursday.
Police said the firearm was a weapon reported stolen to Calgary Police.
Two men and one woman face charges.
Derek James Funk, 33, was the only suspect named in the announcement. The other two were described as a 30-year-old woman and another man, also aged 33.
