Police need your help if you were in the vicinity of the Health Sciences Centre on Dec. 16 and witnessed a woman get hit by a sidewalk snow-clearing machine.

The woman was attempting to cross William Avenue at a crosswalk in the area of the 700 block around 4:40 p.m. when she was hit and seriously injured by a snow-removal machine which was travelling westbound on William Avenue.

The woman, in her 60s, has been upgraded to stable condition but is still in the hospital as a result of her injuries.

“We’ve progressed in this investigation but we would like anyone who did happen to see it to come forward just so we can tie up any loose ends,” Const. Rob Carver said.

“We know that some people who has been in the area and had been driving in the area spoke to fire paramedic people and some other people didn’t stay. We’re just hoping we can get them to contact us and give us the information that they have.”

Carver could not yet say if there would be any charges to the operator of the snow-removal machine.
