Inservice Records is proud to present Homemade Winnipeg: An Isolation Compilation, 16 tracks from Winnipeg artists to benefit the West End Cultural Centre.

Created (mostly) in quarantine during the 2020 pandemic, Homemade Winnipeg features an hour of brand new music from New Wales, Red Moon Road, Paige Drobot, Colour By Numbers, Andy Cole, Hearing Trees, Olivia Sea, jonny moonbeam, Ryan Stanley Shodine, The Famous Sandhogs, Midnight Review Presents, Portables, and a group of people who covered “Bohemian Rhapsody” in Klingon. It also features previously released tracks from Greg Rekus, Red Moon Road, futurekids and Grotoko.

We’re all making music at home, because we have nowhere else to make it. Some of these songs were made over Zoom or email, while others were performed solo in front of a mic in isolation.

Available as a pay-what-you-can download via Bandcamp, all proceeds from Homemade Winnipeg will go to benefit The West End Cultural Centre, my favourite venue and a great charity. The WECC has given me a lot over the years, I just wanted to do something in return. Assembling a collection of new music from some of my favourite Winnipeg artists is just a fun way for us all to come together and celebrate the resilience of the local music scene.
