The Winnipeg Jets have further reduced their training camp roster today, assigning five players to the AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps.
Sent to the farm team today were goalie Connor Hellebuyck, defenceman Julien Brouillette and forwards JC Lipon, Carl Klingberg and John Albert.
Brouillette and Klingberg must clear NHL waivers before they can get to St. John’s.
Today’s moves leave the Jets’ camp at 32 players.
Today at the MTS Iceplex, where the team is practising, forwards Bryan Little, Patrice Cormier, Dustin Byfuglien, T.J. Galiardi and Eric O’Dell are not on the ice, still on the injured list.
Eric Tangradi, who missed part of Monday’s exhibition game in Edmonton with a lower-body issue and also Tuesday’s practice, is on the ice.
