The identity of the suspect has been revealed in the attempted armed robbery Nov. 20 of an armoured truck in the Tyndall Market Shopping Centre, on the corner of Burrows Avenue and Keewatin Street.

A man armed with a large knife confronted security officers from a GardaWorld Security truck and was shot by one of the security personnel.

The injured officer was treated and released from hospital. The suspect, Kim Curtiz Lazaruk, 36, is in stable condition.

Lazuruk is charged with robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of a weapon.
