The Winnipeg Jets are bringing back defenceman Keaton Ellerby, for another season at least.

On Thursday, the club announced it had signed Ellerby to a one-year, two-way contract that’s worth $700,000 in the NHL. The 25-year-old blueliner played 51 games with the Jets last season, notching two goals and four assists in that time.

The Jets snagged the 6-4 defender off the waiver wire last November from the Los Angeles Kings. He was originally drafted 10th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2007 NHL draft.
