RCMP are looking for a man after an attempted abduction of a teenage girl Thursday morning.
Norway House RCMP say a 14-year-old girl was walking in the Rossville area of Norway House Cree Nation about 1 a.m. when a lone man in a vehicle attempted to pull her into the vehicle. The victim was able to escape safely to a nearby residence and call police.
The man is described as fair-skinned with a foreign accent and a Toronto Maple Leafs hat. The vehicle is described as a dark-coloured four-door Dodge pickup truck.
RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the Norway House RCMP Detachment at 204-359-6483 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, submit a secure tip online at manitobacrimestoppers.com or text “TIPMAN” plus your message to CRIMES (274637).
Norway House is on the northern tip of Lake Winnipeg.
