A 52-year-old man died after being ejected from a van that rolled Thursday afternoon west of Moose Lake, Man.

The man from Moose Lake was pronounced dead at the scene, RCMP say.

When officers arrived on scene, the minivan was in the ditch on the south side of Provincial Road 384, resting on its roof. It appeared the van had flipped more than once. Two males had been ejected from the vehicle.

A 26-year-old man from Moose Lake was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital in stable condition. A 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both residents of Moose Lake, were transported to hospital by a passerby before police arrived on the scene, police said. The man was released from hospital and the woman remained there in stable condition.

The single-vehicle collision happened at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, 32 kilometres west of Moose Lake.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision, police said. At least two of the occupants in the vehicle were not wearing seatbelts.

The investigation continues and the name of the deceased will not be released, the RCMP said.
