Four Winnipeg radio personalities from three different stations were victims of a series of network-wide layoffs by Corus Entertainment on Tuesday.

Corus Entertainment confirmed the changes in an email Wednesday.

Four radio personnel at CJOB, 99.1 Fresh FM and Power 97 were laid off, including Power 97 personalities TJ Connors and Holly Bausman, and CJOB announcer Lorne Edwards.

In a post on Twitter Tuesday, Bausman and Connors said farewell to listeners of the hard-rock FM station.

“Thanks to everyone who flipped on (Power 97) over the last two years. It was really cool waking you up on the station I grew up on,” Connors wrote.

In the fall ratings statistics released by Numeris in November 2014, Power 97 fell to 2.6 per cent of the 12-and-older radio audience from 4.6 per cent during the spring ratings period.

The audience drop left Power 97 in 12th place in Winnipeg’s 15-station listenership race, two places lower than it was in the spring of 2014.

Fresh FM was one spot lower, 13th place, in the fall ratings with 2.2 per cent of the total listenership.

CJOB remained in top spot with a 13.6 per cent share of Winnipeg’s 12-and-older listenership.
