A 16-year-old boy was in hospital in stable condition after he was hit by a car in Charleswood Thursday morning.

The collision happened on Roblin Boulevard near Hunterspoint Road, city police said.

Officers were called to the scene at about 8 a.m. Investigators shut down eastbound Roblin at Elmvale Crescent for about an hour. The teen was transported to hospital in unstable condition before his condition was upgraded.

Police say it is too early to say whether charges might be laid.

No other details were released.
