City to start collecting yard waste next week

The city will begin collecting yard waste in some parts of Winnipeg starting Monday.

Pickup for some residents will begin the week of May 6.

Yard waste is collected at the curb once every two weeks, on the same day as recycling and garbage, and will continue until November, weather permitting.

Compost from past pickups will be available for free at three locations from May 10 to May 12. More information is available here.
