Teenage girl hit by vehicle on Henderson Highway

A teenage girl had to be taken to hospital after she was struck by a vehicle near Henderson Highway and McLeod Avenue on Wednesday.

Winnipeg Police Service spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said officers were called to the scene just before noon.

He said the victim, described as a teenage girl, was hospitalized in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.

Michalyshen did not immediately have further details of what occurred. He said the roadway was closed to traffic temporarily after the collision.
