The city has announced street closures in connection with Tuesday’s Whiteout street party.

Game 5 of the first-round NHL playoff series between the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche will begin at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The related street party starts at 6:30 p.m.

Southbound Donald Street between Portage and St. Mary avenues will be closed from 9 a.m. Tuesday until about 3 a.m. Wednesday. The sidewalks on that section of Donald will be closed at noon and reopen overnight.

Graham Avenue is closed in both directions between Hargrave and Smith streets from 9 a.m. until about 1 a.m. Wednesday. The sidewalk on the north side of that area of Graham will be closed at noon and will reopen overnight.

Winnipeg Transit buses will be rerouted off of Graham between Kennedy and Smith streets starting at 9 a.m. Regular service will resume Wednesday. More information on rerouting and schedules can be found here.

The Millennium Library will be closing early Tuesday, at 6 p.m., and the Donald Street entrance and exit of the library’s parkade will be closed at 9 a.m. It will reopen at about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The Whiteout party will be the final of the playoffs unless the Jets win Tuesday to force a Game 6 and then win that game in Denver on Thursday. Game 7, if necessary, would be played in Winnipeg on Saturday.
