Sea Bears sign ex-NBA centre

Former NBA big man Byron Mullens has signed on to play for the Winnipeg Sea Bears.
On Thursday, the Canadian Elite Basketball League franchise announced the addition of Mullens, a 7-foot centre and 2009 first-round NBA draft pick.
The 35-year-old from Canal Winchester, Ohio, spent five seasons in the NBA after being selected 24th overall by the Dallas Mavericks. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on draft day and went on to play 189 games in the NBA with the Thunder, Charlotte Bobcats, Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Sea Bears open training camp on Monday at Sport Manitoba in Winnipeg.
