The Winnipeg Sea Bears will have a sellout crowd of 9,116 on hand at Canada Life Centre when they hold their home opener May 24 against the defending Canadian Elite Basketball League champion Scarborough Shooting Stars.

Winnipeg also had a high demand for tickets during a successful inaugural season in 2023 when five of the club’s home dates were sold out. Winnipeg also set the CEBL’s single-game attendance record on three separate occasions, including an all-time league high of 10,580 fans for an Aug. 4 play-in matchup with the Edmonton Stingers.

Tickets are still available for Winnipeg’s next home game, a June 1 matchup with the Ottawa BlackJacks.

The Sea Bears open training camp Monday at Sport Manitoba in downtown Winnipeg before heading to Saskatoon to take on the Saskatchewan Rattlers for their season opener on May 22.
