RCMP are trying to find an unknown man who dropped off a person with severe injuries at Thompson General Hospital early Thursday.

Police believe the male victim was injured in an assault but do not think the man who dropped him off was involved in the incident.

Thompson RCMP, describing the man as a Good Samaritan in a news release Friday, think the man came across the victim before taking him to hospital at about 4 a.m.

The man appeared to be thin. He was wearing a grey baseball hat with a black peak and a black jacket. He was driving a white GMC pickup truck with a box cover on it.

The victim remained in hospital in serious condition Friday.

Thompson RCMP are asking anyone who recognizes the man to call 204-677-6911 or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or manitobacrimestoppers.com.
