Missing RM of Oakview man found dead

A man from the Rural Municipality of Oakview who had been missing since October was found dead last Sunday.

Minnedosa RCMP found personal items belonging to the man, 55-year-old Jamie Wade, in a pond in the RM last Saturday.

Major crime and forensic investigators, as well as RCMP divers, were called in to assist and found Wade’s body.

RCMP said an autopsy was conducted and Wade’s death was deemed “non-criminal.”

Wade had been reported missing on Oct. 30, after he had last been seen on Oct. 27.
