Crews douse small accidental fire

Crews quickly doused an accidental fire in a home in Sargent Park on Thursday night.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were sent to the single-family bungalow on the 1200 block of Dominion Street at about 10:23 p.m.

Crews found a small amount of smoke coming from the house. Inside, firefighters quickly got the flames under control by about 10:38 p.m.

The home’s occupants all got outside on their own. No one was hurt.

The fire service said it appears the fire was accidentally caused by combustible material being left too close to a light bulb.
