Man found dead in woods in South Indian Lake

Manitoba RCMP are investigating after finding the body of a man in a wooded area in northern Manitoba.
At 7:50 p.m. Saturday evening Mounties from the South Indian Lake detachment responded to a report of a deceased man in an area outside the community, a news release said Sunday.
Officers found the body of a 61-year-old man with “obvious injuries,” the release said.
The death is being treated as a homicide. South Indian Lake RCMP and major crimes services and forensic identification services are investigating.
