Firefighters respond to five overnight fires

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is reporting it responded to five significant fires overnight.

Between 12:50 a.m. and 3:07 a.m. Saturday, WFPS crews responded to three fires at commercial and industrial buildings in the city’s North End on Sutherland Ave., Inkster Blvd. and Dufferin Ave.

Then, between 4:10 a.m. and 5:42 a.m. fire crews responded to fires at a vacant house and a garage on Manitoba and Flora Avenues

All fires have been reported extinguished or under control, with no injuries.

The cause for each fire is still under investigation.
