HAMILTON — Noah Jensen’s goal in the 90th minute lifted Forge FC to a 2-1 triumph over Valour FC in Canadian Premier League soccer action at Tim Hortons Field Saturday afternoon.

It was the Winnipeg squad’s third loss in three starts to begin the 2024 regular season. Valour is playing seven consecutive league games on the road to begin the season while a new turf is installed at Prince Auto Stadium.

On Saturday, Forge took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Tristan Borges in the 61st minute. The Winnipeggers rallied to tie the game on Jordan Faria’s goal in the 65th minute.

Valour, outscored 8-2 through three games, is tied with HFX Wanderers FC at the bottom of the CPL table. Forge is alone in first place at 3-0-0.

Valour is also on the road for Wednesday’s Canadian Championship matchup against Atlético Ottawa and doesn’t play at home until hosting Vancouver FC on June 2.
