The Manitoba Moose announced Saturday they have reassigned several players after being swept in their best-of-three Central Division play-in series by the Texas Stars on Thursday.

The American Hockey League club sent defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin and forwards Mark Liwiski and Carson Golder to the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals. They also released goaltender Brett Brochu from his professional tryout.

Kuzmin appeared in 18 games for the Moose this season and posted three points (1G, 2A), including scoring his first AHL goal on March 10. The 21-year-old from Belarus was a third-round pick (82nd overall) of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Liwiski, 22, played in seven games for the Moose this campaign and recorded two points while Golder, 21, suited up in 14 games for the Moose this season and tallied six points.

Brochu, 21, appeared in one game for the Moose and made six stops in 20 minutes of action.
